School Uniforms
At the beginning of each school year, we aim to kit each child with a new school uniform and school equipment. By doing this we bring down their expenses and help give them a positive start to year.
Breakfast Kitchen
We open our doors each morning between 6:30 and 7.30 to serve up a nutritious breakfast before school. Our menu varies each day, with our emphasis on fresh fruit, protein, grains and a warm soup once a week.
Food Packages
Breakfast Kitchen/Food packages : Over the past 2 years we had to adapt and make changes to our Breakfast Kitchen program due to the Covid situation. We did this by introducing food packages once a month. We considered reopening the Kitchen again but we had overwhelming success with the food packages that extend to more than just the children. It has helped their individual households and families. Instead we have customised each child’s package based on their household situation and personal needs. This has allowed us to adapt the space for an afternoon centre where the children now come after school to do homework and have access to the small library and educational aid on computers.
